Heather Cuthbertson was born in Upland, California, but her earliest memories were of growing up in Southern Oregon in a little town called Rogue River.  

She participated annually in the Summer Reading Program and actually read all the books on her list for the polished rocks and key chains. She didn't figure out until way later that she could have cheated and still got them, but, at any rate, it started her life-long love of literature.  

She attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with two Bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2003. Her minors were Philosophy and Related Studies to Criminal Justice.

Currently, she works as a Social Worker for the State of Oregon.
